Be the Change You Want To See In The World....

Helping someone every day. This is something I am working on and it is really easy if you look for it. Help eldery people or mums with strollers get on the bus, help the homeless by giving them food or money, help a tourist find the way, help a friend by listening. I believe this will make the world a better place, it will make another persons happy and I promise you if you do this it will make you feel great too.

Spend time with family and friends. I try to connect with people who can relate to and have or are working on the aspects ( honest, humble, selfless, giving and kind) I am striving towards. Spend less time with people who complain, gossip, spread hate and insecurity.

Avoiding Negativity.  I don’t support and read newspapers and tv channels when their only intention is to spread fear and despair. I do my own research, draw my own conclusions and look for solutions instead of stating the problems. I don't let these negative news outlets influence me and most importantly I don’t generalize!!
I rather read or watch something that will inspire me...

Being honest by telling the people I care about how you feel and why. I always strive to be honest, fair, open and good with family, friends but also with anyone else. Whether it is your collegue and it is about work. Or whether it is the girl in the coffee shop that makes the best coffee, or my neighbors that I greet every morning and stop for a quick chat. I believe it is important to compliment or critique people when it is necassary. As long it is done in a very respectable and polite way. I admit when I am wroing and I commit to resolve issues with dignity and respect.

Forgive someone who did you wrong. This is something I am strunggling with! Still, I do believe that holding a grudge will only hold you back. Therefore, forgiveness is important whether you forgivfe a family member, friend or a collegue who did you wrong. The least I can do is forgive them! Being friends afterwards is difficult but at least I can forgive and wish them a happy life. If God can forgive, why can't I do the same?

These are things that I am working on to bring change to the world that I wish to see. And maybe it is not enough and I am sure there is more I can do. But at least am trying and no matter how many mistakes I make or how slow I progress, I am still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.
